Oracle Ruby Glass Rods x 114grm ( 1/4lb) which will be approx 7 rods

Description

Oracle-Ruby is a kiln striking copper ruby colour. It is a fairly saturated colour, and reads “red” when used in moderately thin layers over clear or white.

For best results, completely reset the ruby so it appears clear before annealing.  If it goes into the kiln flame struck it will strike very dark in the kiln.  We recommend annealing at 950°F for 1-2 hours for a clean ruby red colour.  Your kiln is probably different than mine. Test beads are recommended.

The large singe bead pictured, shows a thin layer of Oracle-Ruby over Zephyr clear, annealed at 950°F for 1.5 hours.
The small beads pictured were made over white, at approximately 20 minute intervals, with annealing times of 20 minutes, 40 minutes, 1 hour, 1 hr 20 minutes, and 1 hour 40 minutes.

The Oracle Project  responsibly manufactured, low toxicity glasses made in the USA, without Antimony, Arsenic, Cadmium, Chromium, Lead, Nickel, or Selenium. Balancing viscosity curves, opacity, tonality, surface tension, and thermal shock resistance, to create glass that is a pleasure to work with in the flame.

I have thoroughly enjoyed researching, developing, batching, testing, and using these colours, and it is my sincere hope that these glasses enhance your flameworking experience.
