Here you will find out how to make various clasps using traditional silversmithing techniques. You will also learn how to make your own jump rings. Students will can produce their own designs using sterling silver and will produce two clasps and various jump rings.

  The workshop will run 10am to 5pm and cost includes all materials, an information pack, use of all tools and equipment.

Sunday 13^th May 2012 – Rings and Things

  This workshop teaches you how to make silver rings using traditional silversmithing techniques. Basic skills on finger measuring and ring sizing will be taught. Students will study various designs using sterling silver in sheet and wire form and will produce 2 rings using different construction methods during the day.

  The workshop will run 10am to 5pm and the cost includes all materials, an information pack, use of all tools and equipment.

This is an intermediate 2 day class focusing on how to work with enamels and how to apply them.

Day 1 : We will be creating our own one of a kind small glass paintings. We will learn how different brushes create different effects, and how to sign your own work.

Day 2 : We will be lighting the torch and rolling up our sleeves, as well as our paintings to create beautiful pieces of wearable art.  There will be lots of hands on practice in order to become comfortable with the amount of heat needed, and new tools we will be using to make permanent images on our beads.

This is a 2 day class - Learn to make Claudia's famous eye murrini and use it in several different styles of beads including a window bead. plus you will learn how to work with mesh and to blow shards for use in a sandpiper bead.
